30 days and counting...support update, etc.

Thank you all for your support - especially those of you who have made it possible for me to raise $2060 so far! That's a lot of money! I am really grateful for the people who have given money, asked me recently about preparing, or expressed interest in my upcoming time in Rwanda!

In 30 days, I head (back) to central PA for MCC training (within an hour of my previous hometown of Grantham, PA, site of Messiah College!). The fact that I am leaving soon is starting to sink in, but, honestly, I think it will take until I am actually on the plane (or perhaps until I've landed in Africa) for me to truly believe I am going to Rwanda for a year. In the meantime, my excitement is growing, my wardrobe is almost set, I'm educating myself about teaching ESL, and I have a growing collection of supplies to take with me. Yay!
My work clothes: skirts below the knee and short-sleeve tops.
I found out I can wear pants or capris, but maybe not to work.

For a unique donation (an 'indestructible' soccer ball), see http://www.oneworldfutbol.com/. They are a bit expensive, but seem to be tested and suitable for African conditions :) I could probably take 1-2 with me!

For people who can help me get from 45% to 100% of my support raised, please consider going to https://donate.mcc.org/project/serving-and-learning-together-salt to donate. Any amount is appreciated. Thanks!
